“It’s pretty simple really. Witnessing and documenting beautiful love stories makes me gosh darn happy! I would say I’m a very nostalgic person and this is at the core of why I love photographing weddings. I get a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that the smiles and beauty of people can be fresh, alive and meaningful to others in years to come.” Amanda Alessi Photography explains herself.

“Couples often tell me they were drawn to my non ‘posed images (you know that cheesy, cringe worthy kind), with movement, light and attention to styled details also an important factor when hiring me. How would I describe my style? I capture the intimate, ‘in between’ and authentic moments of loved up couples. I adore capturing romance and raw emotion which tends to fall on the playful, energetic side of the spectrum. Overall I seek the unique, quirky and beauty in unassuming places.”

“On the weekends you will find Amanda Alessi shooting rad weddings across Victoria (Australia wide in fact!) but during the week I’m working from my shared office space in the cool suburb of Cremorne, Melbourne. I would absolutely love to hear about your wedding plans so send me a message and we can meet for a coffee or wine or both!”

About Amanda Alessi

“I moved to Melbourne (from Perth) in winter 2017 which had been in the making for a long while. Old Melbourne terrace houses really float my boat and I was itching to spend lazy afternoons strolling the beautiful streets, exploring new cafes and enjoying the cooler weather! Let’s be honest, having pale skin of the English rose variety means I’m prone to getting burnt to a crisp in the endless Perth heat. Other fave activities…swooning over well designed interiors, indoor spin classes, catching that last drop of golden afternoon light, UberEATS, fostering kittens, music festivals, brunch with friends and binge watching ‘How I Met Your Mother episodes with my boyfriend, Drew.”
