The One Fine Day team were treated to a picture-perfect lunch at Regatta Rose Bay as we explored their various options available for celebrating a special occasion, bridal shower or intimate wedding reception.

Stepping into Regatta Rose Bay, you are immediately struck by the breathtaking view. Situated on the water’s edge of Rose Bay Pier, there are spectacular harbour views from every part of the venue. This would be a perfect choice for a daytime affair, with gorgeous natural light streaming through the windows along both sides of the venue.  There are several options for ceremonies nearby, including the Rose Bay Marina situated directly underneath Regatta, Rose Bay Park or Shark Island – only 1km away in the harbour.

We started our lunch in the Blue Room (capacity 45 seated/60 cocktail). This space is perfect for a smaller wedding, or bridal shower. We loved that this space includes access to a private bar and deck, and could picture ourselves being very comfortable chatting, eating and drinking in this relaxing space all afternoon and into the night!

For a larger celebration, Regatta offers exclusive hire of the restaurant, including the bar, deck and The Blue Room. The space is very flexible, with all fixtures able to move to suit your requirements. We sat at a head table at the front of the restaurant, with a stunning 180-degree view of the harbour. Depending on the configuration, and whether you include a dance floor or not, the space can accommodate up to 135 seated and 200 for cocktails.

Belinda Brett from The Curated Life is the preferred Stylist and Florist for Regatta and, let me tell you, she does a knockout job. In The Blue Room, unstructured, elegant floral arrangements graced the tables, complemented by crisp white linens and dipped gold cutlery. In the Restaurant, abundant arrangements of hydrangeas and roses created a show-stopping centrepiece.

The food was delicious, and expertly presented – each plate more beautiful than the next. This is definitely some of the best wedding food we have tasted in Sydney, and any wedding guest would be delighted with the offering. We were treated to a three-course menu, and whilst we were all comfortably full after 2 courses we pushed through to dessert and didn’t regret it for a moment! There’s an extensive dessert menu to choose from, and the in-house pastry team can also create your own custom wedding cake.

The team at Regatta are a delight to work with, from their Wedding Reception Co-Ordinator Becky Neall through to all their venue and wait staff. For more information about hosting your wedding or celebration at Regatta, you can contact Becky on (02) 9327 6561 or email her at [email protected].
